CIOFF® has been awarded the UNESCO associate partner status as NGO

Dear Friends,
We are extremely proud to announce that at the 38th General Assembly of UNESCO in Paris (3rd-18th November) CIOFF® has been awarded the UNESCO associate partner status as NGO, being one of the only three NGOs, who received the associate status in 2015.

Obituary

Wolfgang VossOn April 13, 2014 our member Wolfgang Voss from Wismar passed away.

He was for many year artistic director of the folklore group „Danzlüd us Wismer“ and director of the „International Folklore Festival of the Hanseatic City Wismar and closely connected to the traditional arts.

Obituary

Rosemarie EngelOn December 12, 2012 our Honorary Member Rosemarie Engel passed away in the age of 84.
She was Head of the section for folk Art in the Ministry of Culture of the German Democratic Republic and professionally closely connected to the Traditional Arts.

Folklore friends meet in the Marstall

Annual General Meeting of the German section of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Art in Heppenheim - Then City tour with wine tasting.

Last weekend the Marstall in the historic center of Heppenheimer was a the meeting place for folklore friends from all over Germany. Occasion was the Annual General Meeting of the German section of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Art (CIOFF®, in French: Conseil international des organisations de festivals de folklore et d'arts traditionnels).
